Functions of the Cell
F01: Work efficiently with the Alumni Association, staffing its committees, arranging its meetings and ensuring strong and perfect relationships between its members and the academic and administrative leadership.
F02: Plan, conduct and promote alumni events that support the Institute’s thoughts as well as the aims.
F03: Maintain complete alumni data. collect contact and career information of alumni through surveys, mobile groups, correspondence, website etc.
F04: Establish and develop relationships with a wide range of alumni, locally, regionally, nationally and internationally; maintain regular communication with alumni via direct contact, emails, alumni web pages etc.
F05: Motivate graduating students about alumni benefits and engage them in programs.
F06: Balance the budget for Alumni Relations; within the annual program budget, manage existing and/or additional alumni programs, services and communications.

Anti-Ragging Committee

The Management and staff of the institution are committed to nurture ragging free ambience in the campus. Apt care is taken to instill respect, among students, towards all others. Boys are encouraged to manifest their unconditional dignity in their thoughts and behavior. Girls are guided to represent assertiveness in their thinking, interactions and transactions with others.

The Institution has an Anti-Ragging Cell to provide confidence among students in their academic life.


Functions of the Committee


The Anti-Ragging Committee is determined,


(1) To organize periodical meetings to discuss important ragging related issues and incidents if any, arrive at solutions, and getting            thorough inputs regarding UGC guidelines on Anti-Ragging,

(2) To act as a mediating bridge between the Anti-Ragging squad, institutional administration and students.

(3) To prevent all psychological influences leading towards ragging.

(4) To inculcate value-oriented thoughts among students.

(5) To reinforce, from time to time, the spirit of ‘No Ragging Campus’ among students.

(6) To interact with students individually with the objective of getting feedback on the administrative system regarding ragging free
campus.

(7) To educate students, during general assembly, for their realization towards responsible behavior towards others.

(8) To organize awareness programmes on ‘Decent Behavior’ towards others.

(9) To propagate legal consequences of ragging and the need for preference for     freedom from inhuman ragging culture

(10) To pay attention to recommendations of the Anti-Ragging Squad in the right perspective

(11) To maintain close monitoring on students’ behavior in hostels in the campus to ascertain their dignified behavior

(12) To acknowledge students’ complaints, conduct inquiry into the issues and submit reports to authorities along with recommendations for action proceedings.

Roles of Committee Members

The members of the Anti-Ragging Committee, based on the nature and intensity of act of ragging, may, in the very presence of the Principal, decide to take any of the following actions on offenders.

(1)     Cancellation of admission.

(2)     Suspension from classes.

(3)     Withholding / withdrawing of benefits like scholarship etc.

(4)     Debarring from appearance at tests/examinations/interviews etc.

(5)     Withholding of results.

(6)     Debarring from representing the institution in any regional, national or international meets, tournaments, youth festivals etc.,

(7)     Suspension / expulsion from the hostel.

(8)     Rustication from the institution for a specified period

(9)     Expulsion from the institution and consequent recommendation for debarring from admission to any other institution

(10)   Collective punishment: When the persons committing or abetting the crime of ragging are not identified, the institution shall resort to collective punishment as a deterrent to ensure community pressure on the potential raggers.

Role of Student-Mentors  

The student mentors have definite roles to play in the process of keeping the campus ragging free. They Student-Mentors

(1) Act as a role model to others and assist in mentoring activities. They will visit their mentees in hostel(s) along with the faculty member(s). They will introduce themselves to the freshers and orient them properly in the presence of the faculty member(s).

(2) Aid new students to settle down with ease and make a smooth and peaceful transition to college life, and help them in adapting to new environments.

(3) Act like peer counselors for the new students.

(4) Challenge negative behaviors on the part of mentees and promote observance of the code of conduct in the campus.

(5) Provide information regarding contact numbers of college authorities, hand over printed information in induction and orientation programmes to the new students in the form of booklets, leaflets, etc. which emphasize on the need for ragging free campus.

(6) Alert Warden immediately, if any students are found to be prone to ragging, counsel such students and suggest methods for adjustment or lodging suitable complaints.

Role of Parents

The parents have special accountabilities to justify in the process of keeping the campus ragging free. Their responsibilities include,

(1)     Prompt reporting of instances of ragging to the concerned authorities in the campus

(2)     Fostering of good network relationships among parents for proper information initiatives

(3)     Collective initiative to discuss different issues related to students’ behavior

(4)     Offering of recommendations to college authorities in times of need, and Providing of feedback to the dean and other authorities on being requested.

Functions of the cell:
  1. The maintenance of academic standards within the college, and the planning, co-ordination, development, review of the curriculum and all academic work of the college.
  2. Controlling and regulating teaching, awards, the admission of students, assessment, the discipline of students, and other matters relating to teaching, examining and research, through Regulations approved by the Academic Council.
  3. Set the Vision and Mission of the college.

Specific Behavioral Guidelines: –
  • It is impermissible to let the students enter the classrooms before 9.00 am.
  • It is impermissible to bring cellular phones to the college premises. For urgent calls, students can contact their parents through the class coordinator.
  • It is not allowed for any student to leave the classroom without taking permission from the teacher.
  • After breaks, students must go directly to their classrooms.
  • If the subject teacher does not reach his class on time or is absent, students must inform it to the Head of the Department.
  • Resting, napping or sleeping is not allowed inside the classroom.
  • Homework assignments must be done as assigned on time.
  • Students are not allowed to touch or keep dangerous or harmful objects.
  • Students respect other’s feelings – no teasing, name calling, swearing, etc.
  • Students- respect other’s person – no rough play, fighting, bullying, threats, harassing, etc.
  • Students– respect other’s property – no theft, vandalism, etc.
  • Keep your college clean just as you would keep your house clean.

ENTREPRENEUR DEVELOPMENT CELL

For the Development of Entrepreneurship in Science & Technology has established a Entrepreneurship Development Cell at RISE Krishna Sai Gandhi Group of Institutions, Ongole. The Cell is managed by a Chief Coordinator and Research Associate and other office staff. Objectives of Examination Committee:

To conduct Internal Assessment and External Assessment Examination related work for all UG and PG courses as per guidelines issued by the JNTU Kakinada from time to time.

Responsibilities Coordinator:

  • Ensuring the communication of schedules, examination time tables and room plans.
  • Monitoring the conduction of MID and End Semester theory exam as per schedule date.
  • To plan for effective evaluation techniques. Also aim at continuous monitoring of the same.
  • Making the arrangements to conduct extra tests if the students failed to attend the test due to any unavoidable reasons with permission duly undersigned.
  • Finally compilation of final internal marks of each student at the end of odd/even semester to send the same to the university
  • Overall supervision of Performance Evaluation and Result analysis
  • Preparation & submission of Annual Report by June 30 to undersigned

Role of Members:

With the approval of the Principal convene meeting(s) to reflect the notifications and ordinance issued by the university and priorities of the college, coordinates and prepares the seating arrangement, allotted duties and intimated to the concerned well in advance for the smooth conduction of exams.

Functions Examination Committee:

  • Coordinates with administration department, to receive the details of fresh batch of Students.
  • Collection and maintenance of Student’s bio data from the Students.
  • Arranges to prepare the list of candidates and courses for which they are appearing for.
  • Conduction of all University examinations for the Students of various UG/PG programmes as per the guidelines by JNTUK, Kakinada.
  • Preparation of invigilator duty list for all university examination work.
  • The Examination Committee will make policies regarding holding of different examinations and shall make Hall plan, Seating Arrangement and display them on the concerned Notice Board and Blocks.
  • The Exam Committee shall hold pre-exam meetings to brief the members of faculty with regard to the examination procedures.
  • Coordinate with respective HOD and Collection of question paper sets from the department, printing and disseminating for the Internal Assessment Examinations.
  • Receives the Internal marks (finalized) and the attendance of each section of Students from respective Head of the department duly signed by the Principal and arranges to forward the same to Director of Evaluation, JNTUK.
  • Receives the filled examination Application forms from the Students.
  • Arranging required number of Subject experts for evaluation work at university and upload the same in university portal with in specified time.
  • Collection of practical examination schedule from the departments.
  • Coordinates distribution of hall tickets through the department class mentors.
  • Downloading of question papers from university and printing, ensuring confidentiality.
  • Inform the Chief Superintendent with regard to the malpractice cases, if any, and forwards the same to the Director of Evaluation, JNTUK to take decisions.
  • To ensure that the entire exam related documents reach the university in time.
  • Arranges to receive Marks statements and the Consolidated Mark Statements of Students from JNTUK.
  • Arranges to get the Provisional Certificates and Degree Certificates of the graduated Students from the University.
  • To process the exam remuneration bills on time.
  • Conduct Result analysis and provide the same to each HOD and Principal.
  • All examination concerned records to be kept in safe custody and be made available as and when required.
  • Distribution of marks lists to the students after the results of various examinations received from the university.
  • Supporting the companies in Student background verification.
  • Any circular, Guideline, office order, Notification received by the University are processed in the Examination Cell, reply thereof prepared and after Principal’s signature dispatched or circulates to the concerned Departments/ Students.

FINANCE COMMITTEE Functions of the Committee:
  • The annual accounts and financial estimates of the Institute shall be placed before the Finance Committee for scrutiny and thereafter submitted to the Governing Council together with the comments of the Finance Committee for approval.

STUDENTS COUNSELLLING & GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL COMMITTEE OBJECTIVES
  • Encouraging students to voice their complaints and issues openly and honestly without fear of retaliation
  • Encouraging all students to avoid acting arrogantly toward their fellow students, teachers, and college administration
  • The committee member is also advised to have regular meetings with the mentors of the relevant departments.
  • The aforementioned members of the grievances redressal committee shall meet twice each semester, or more frequently as required by the circumstances, to discuss matters and periodically deliver the meeting minutes to the undersigned.

Objectives of OBC Cell
  • To educate enlighten and empower the students of OBC categories in the college to make use of the facilities extended by the Govt. and other agencies for their educational and occupational career.

Minutes of the Meetings

Objectives:

  • To develop the environment of freedom for research & development, the discovery of new knowledge & innovation
  •  To set up and maintain the services for  Faculty members and students for effective commercial utilization of intellectual property generated
    at College in the interests of all concerned and to oversee the fair distribution of the returns accruing as an outcome of the patent
  • To promote safeguarding of the intellectual property interests of all those who are involved in the creation of intellectual property at the College.
  • To provide legal support to the College deems necessary to defend and protect the interests of the University and innovators of intellectual property against unauthorized use of such property.

Functions

  • IPRs Awareness Programmes/Training Workshops: the IPR Cell will be responsible for conducting IPRs Awareness Programmes for students, researchers, faculty and officials etc;
  • IPR Cell shall provide an environment for academic and R&D excellence and conduct programmes on IPR for UG  students .
  • IPR Cell shall expose students, researchers, faculty and officials to prevalent IP law practices and provide them with an opportunity to learn and use legal skills;
  • The IPR Cell shall be responsible for setting up of an innovative ecosystem with hand holding support and assistance from relevant authorities;
  • The IPR Cell will ensure that a culture is built that enhances recognition and respect for IP amongst students, researchers, faculty and officials
  • The IPR Cell will set out the academic institution procedure on the identification, ownership, protection and commercialization of IP;
